The thread on Jackie Evancho (along with the Sinatra/Rickles thread) got me thinking about this past season of America's Got Talent. For those who have never heard of Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., I would like you to watch this video first. Prepare to be amazed:

eek uhwhat eek

Here are a couple more of his performances from AGT:

Here was his final performance, which won him the competition. The only guy who ever sang this song better was Frankie himself:

As you can probably see, I'm blown away by this guy. Like Howie says in one of the videos, you would never expect that voice to come out of this guy, and it says a lot about how quick to judge we are sometimes.

I'm a huge fan, and I wanted to share this with you guys. He just released his first CD, which consists of covers of some of Sinatra's biggest hits. It's a great homage to one of the all-time greats.

Wowee, I didn't expect that at all!

AGT is probably the only singing competition I don't watch regularly. I just might now, to think I've missed all of this until now!

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

He has a more distinctive (in a good way) voice than any of newer guys I've heard sing this type of song. I'll definitely buy his Sinatra album. Here's hoping he gets good management and stays in for the long haul.

I told you he was incredible. I figured there were a ton of Sinatra fans on here that would appreciate someone who can honestly do him justice.
