I hear there trying to get John Travolta to play Gotti I think the one in 96 was good enough.I read "blood and honor" and it was nothing but murder after murder and caramandi running every scam possible. I mean you had revenge killing after Bruno and Testa were killed it was said that the bomb that killed Testa could be felt several blocks away a cop later said it lifted his car off the ground. And not to mention the Riccobene war Harry's son killing himself and him getting shot 5 times in a phone booth still managing to take the pistol from the guy. Scarfo's story of blood lust and greed would make for an awesome crime thriller if picked up by a director like Martin Scorsese. Any chance of this happening?

You are right, the movie GOTTI was good. We all think that a war on the Philly mob would be awesome. But it wont happen

not enough mainstream interest in the philly mob. ask someone who dosen't really know about the mob and ask them who nicky scarfo is. once they reply i dunno ask them who john gotti is and 8 times outta 10 they will know who you are talking about.

I respect gotti because he was a stand up guy but he ruined the mob. The movie im sure is gonna like the first one him finding the kid who shot manny gambino, angela getting caught on wiretaps.he kills paul becomes boss beats a trial then flashing in public=sammy turns. End of story

I'm glad someone else also thinks the gotti movie is stupid and they should do a scarfo movie. the gotti ovie in 1996 was good although is was extremely fictionalized and seeing that the gotti family is involved in this i know we wont see a true gotti movie.

!0th and Wolf was apparently based off of the Merlino conflict. With a Doniie Brasco subplot involving an informant. Regardless, it's the closest thing you prolly get to a Philly Mob movie. It's uses heavy dramatizatic license though as Hollywood so often does.

That period in the book, "Blood and Honor" would make a spectacular film. With all of the subterfuge and double dealings that went along with the murders, it can almost write it self. Nicky Scarfo was a vicious ruler, who wouldn't stand for subversives or challenges to his authority, just look at the murder of the young Salvie Testa for an example. Scarfo went through his borgata with a scalpel, reshaping everything to his desire. I agree, there has been more than enough "mob tales" involving NY and the NYLCN, so why not go to the City of Brotherly Love and produce a hit?? With Skinny Joey Merlino outta the can and off papers, one never knows day after day. But a movie about the Philly Borgata before,during and after Nicky Scarfo would sure as hell be a great flick, with alot of actors to play alot of important roles.

I loved the plot, it was the actors that made it kinda hard to swallow. The hometown boy Merlino battling the Siciliano Moustache Pete, 'Zip' John Stanfa. Just a little more money and this film could've been something, it wasn't a poor script it was a small budgeted shorten version of the dispute over the city of Brotherly Love! They cut too many corners, whoever attempts this needs to do it correctly, film on location, and use some decent actors, KEEP WITH THE GRITTIENESS, THE RAWNESS of the lives of the everyday wiseguys, from morning to late late night, early morning sleep.

I agree with that. Although I doubt we'll ever see another LCN-centric on HBO again after the Sopranos unfortunately. Just don't see them willing to do it again.

AMC would be a good network though. Their cred is rising. Thing they could handle it. Altho I'd miss the F-bombs and the gratuitous sex. But otherwise think it would be good.
