This morning around 7am i took the dog out for her walk and nearly fell over, very cold and extrememly icy! When i got home i informed the kids who were getting ready for school and told them to be careful. "Ooh brill, we love the ice, nice and skiddy" yelled the 2 eldest boys with eager glee!

As they were leaving the house i again reminded them to be careful only to be told they would be fine and not to worry!

Out the door went #1 son, down the path he went and hey ho....he slipped, right up in the air and landed right on his arse..........

Worry???

I was to busy piddling myself laughing to be worried

I love these magic moments when I get to laugh and say I told you so. I usually save them for my husband, but the kids work too.

This happened a couple years ago: My two granddaughters were playing (at that time around 6 & 8 yrs). The 6 year old started calling for the 8 year old and accidentally started to say "Grandma" instead of her name. The other granddaughter jokingly and innocently replied to her sister, "Grandma? Do I LOOK like I'm 100 years old."

I was in the nearby room and I just busted up in laughter. She had no clue of course as to why it was so cute/funny. I told my daughter and we both had a good laugh. I even have a little journal from a few years back with the cute things they say.

Yesterday my grandson did poopy on the potty for the first time. He'll be two in March. My daughter bought a potty a few weeks ago just to introduce them (the twins) to it. They have been sitting on it and even did a little pee. But yesterday the little guy asked to go on the potty - "Potty". She asked if he had to make pee-pee or poopy and he said, "Both". And he did! Now we have to see if his sister follows suit.

Only a proud grandpa can get me to smile with a story like that. We're about due some new pics of the kids, MC.

2 yrs is pretty young to potty train. That's great if they catch on so soon.

Thanks guys. Sometimes I think they are Jokers. They have a great sense of humor and they can be very devilish. They hide things on each other and on mommy, and they love to snatch the remote and start pressing buttons. Thomas discovered that he can fill his mouth with milk and then let it run down his chin. He thinks that is funny. Mommy doesn't.

MC, my youngest once reprogrammed the TV to speak in French. It took us 3 days to get it back to English. Another time she called 911 and then left the phone off the hook so emergency services couldn't get hold of us. Shortly thereafter, a squad car appeared in our driveway. Her favorite bit of mischief, however, was to run into the kitchen, turn on the gas jets and hightail it out of there. How she never blew us sky-high was a miracle.
