Would have liked to have seen more mob stuff in Sopranos, too much time was dedicated to the family life etc. Which although good id have liked to have seen more how the family made there money like in the early series with the truck hijack.

Although i guess The Sopranos wouldnt have been The Sopranos if it had been more serious about showing the mob side of things.

Totally agree my friend. Lots of questions left open to those who knew Tony and his family, like the next door neighbor that invites him golfing and all the neighbor's the doc. ask all these questions reguarding this and that. And then Tony talks about Gotti and Ice Cream trucks LMAO !
Paulie did some good scene's in enforcing, and when he took the fricken tree cutter out of the tree , ya just gotta love that. And Chrissy did good to ! With the talk and attitude, and coming off the wall but , he was good.

Alot of them spent more time in Mely's office , or dying from cancer and crap.

I could never work out if the ice cream/gotti was Tony bullshitting his stuck up neighbour friends because they were using him, same way they were using good old Jimmy Smash.

Yeah although Melfi integral to the story was overused and it was often the same boring crap. Id rather have seen more of the petty scams that the mob do to make money. For Tony money just seemed to fall out thin air, boats, houses down the shore if wanted, big house but we know he has the Garbage, bing and some of the little freeland avenue scams.

But yeah overall too much time spent on Meadow or AJ whining.

When Paulie took that shovel and hit the guy on the head holding the rope, I can watch that over and over again what a sound and here comes the fricken monkey with the chain saw ! That was a super scene. And then Paulie taken the lawn mower for down payment and money in the guys wallet.

I believe the Sopranos was more about psychiatry and the everyday strain of family life. The mob aspect of the show was strictly to bring in viewers and keep them there.
