When he isn't a guest of the state, Ligambi drives a black Cadillac STS. Definitely not a factor in me getting mine but ironically we drive the same car.
I would guess the reason alot of mob guys drive Chrysler, Cadillac, Lincoln is bc many are officially and technically "union employees". Union employees and supporters of our Big Three wouldn't be caught dead in a foreign car. In fact, my old man has told me some pretty histerical stories about what happens to Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans and Volkswagons left parked on union hall parking lots.

I use to have a 94 lincon coupe witg 5.0 liter engine that was a fast car and a gashog Barney drove a Worth Construction, Buick Regal for years. Ugly silver car. Typical of him. Didn't you buy it at a government auction?
Random Poster:"I'm sorry I didn't go to an Ivy-league school like you"
"Ah I actually I didn't. It's a nickname the feds gave the Genovese Family."

Was there any particular dealer catering to these gentlemen, one who offered favorable considerations to the image conscious gangster about town? (and please don't tell me they shook down Dollar-Down Mid-Town motors...)
N..... or no, bastard had balls, shame to kill him... I got nuthin', I got nuthin...

"You'll often see Genovese guys driving Buicks rather than Cadillacs." - Joe Coffey I know for a fact that the Pittsburgh Crew under John LaRocca drove Buicks and Oldsmobiles. They thought the feds were looking for them driving Cadllacs. So much for that ;-)

Investments?? Mind elaborating? He means they're good for washing that ill gotten cash you can't prove receipts for. As for mob guys driving Jap and Kraut mobiles: Gotti used to say he'd rather bodies be dumped in Hondas and Toyotas than Fords and Chevrolets. ...the blatant stupidity of that man never ceases to amaze me. If I had to guess, I'd still have to say that the 2 most common cars for made guys these days are the Cadillac DTS and the Lincoln Town Car.
