Raymond was a little rat lol, not only that but he seemed to enjoy being one. Offering to wear wires, making sure he had already gave them information on Chrissy's drug habit, telling the FBI agent to say hi to the others.
Its funny i can't remember if its Tony or someone when he dies saying how stand up guys like that aren't around anymore.
Eugene i found to be a surprise though, nothing indicated that he was a rat and we never get to see why he flipped do we ?.

I think it was Rusty who said they don't make stand up guys like Raymond anymore.
Didn't Eugene flip because Tony wouldn't "let him "out" of the life? He wanted to move down to Florida with his family after receiving that million dollar inheritance or whatever it was.

Ahh yeah you are right about it being Rusty who said it.
I know he wanted out but one minute hes trying to buy his way out of the life then hes in the back of the police car with no idea of why he flipped, i know he mentions Florida to the cops but it seems as if he has spoke to them before. I got that feeling anyway.
That scene where he hangs himself is pretty intense.

I watched this again today.
The FBI agent says to Eugene that its been a while and why hadn't he checked in with him(clear sign in my opinion that he had been cooperating for a while) and Eugene replies that he had been having problems with his son(drug habit).
On another note this for me has to be one of the more disturbing episodes(spoilers ahead), if Raymonds stroke or whatever it was wasn't bad enough then Eugene's realistic hanging was the tip of the iceberg. Didn't see it coming at all when i watched it the first time. Most realistic suicide ive seen on screen that i can think of, very well shot.

Gene didnt flip cause Tony wouldnt let him out but i dont know how or why he did. It is obvious he flipped a while back cause the agents say Florida isnt going to happen Gene, showing he had tried to clear with it with them even before he did with Tony.
Whats terrible is if Gene would have just broke his back and ate shit everyday for 20 years he never would have had to deal with any of this. He couldve just retired to Florida and lived the rest of his life.
As far as Raymond goes, you may as well enjoy it, its either go to jail for the rest of your life or do what the fbi says, no need not to live your life.

The main bit is that they said Gene hadn't checked in with them for a while and that he wasn't aloud to do that.
Big sign that he had been co-operating for some time, came as a shock though guess it was thrown in randomly to show you couldn't really trust anyone in that life. Guy comes to you with some watches, tries to buy his way out and the whole time hes been cooperating. Acts like Tony is an ass for not letting him out of the family, whilst hes working to put Tony away lol.

This is true, although he was probably hoping the hit got him good in Tony's books for retiring to Florida. But yeah he could have said.
