If Paulie admitted to telling Johnny Sack about the joke Ralph made about Ginny, was Tony going to whack Paulie?

He was and yes Paulie almost shit himself, both are true.

Paulie was dead as Pussy if he said yes, Tony had to take his word though because he didnt have positive proof.

I actually always took it like Tony knew the truth. He just needed to be in that sort of position of power and dominance to decide if it was worth killing Paulie or not. That's the way I remember it.

Remember Paulie told the guys he had cancer of the prick or was that just tony he told. Maybe thats why tony didnt want to whack/off him

Plus Beansie swayed him the night before by in a way vouching for Paulie.

So yeah i think it was on Tony's mind but not sure if he would have.

Main reason for not killing Paulie: He would do anything and i mean anything Tony told him to do. Paulie even took a demotion of sorts and never really acted out to much about it other than fucking with Chrissy. He took orders from Bobby B and Sil without a smile on his face but he did what he was told. If Tony absolutely needed something, Paulie would do it before anyone. Chrissy rise in the family should have been underneath Paulie the whole way, i know it was mostly but a time comes where Paulie is cut out. Tony should have NEVER went around Paulie and started sending orders directly through Chrissy. The outcome of curtain feuds with NY would have been much different.
