TIS had a good idea to open a game for guessing the name of a famous person from an old photo. I'll start with this bodybuilder. Anyone recognize him? Uploading a Picture to the BB1) Find a picture on the internet. 2) Right-click on it, and Save to your desktop (so it's easy to find) 3) Go to http://www.tinypic.com/ and hit Choose File (choose the one you just saved to your desktop) 4) You should then be presented with links, choose the "Forum" link 5) Copy/Paste that link into your post. You can test the process out first in the The Official "Test" Thread in the Help Forum to be sure you did it correctly

Wow, good pic SC. However, I'm not knowledgeable on body builders. Hmmmm. Wasn't there one named Atlas? Looks like a very old picture. Maybe from the 20s? TIS

That's a good guess, but wrong. From the same time era, though. Thanks SC but I thought I had that one.

Hmmm I am stumped. Not Johnny Weismuller? He was an olympic swimmer I think, not a body builder. Again, the face does look kind of familiar. Would it be cheating for you to post another picture of the same guy? TIS

Would it be cheating for you to post another picture of the same guy? Yeah. Hint: he bonded with a lot of fans in some of his roles. Also, do some math.... this picture was taken about 1950. He looks to be about 20 years old there, so that would make him about 80 years old now. He's still alive.

And here he is today: Yep - it's Sir Sean Connery. Signor V.

And here he is today: Yep - it's Sir Sean Connery. Signor V. Are you freekin' kidding me??? No!!!! I never thought of Connery as a body builder. Ok, I have to honestly say he would not have even entered my mind. SV, I had a feeling you or TB would come up with the answer. TIS Oh, and SC, "He BONDED with some of his fans?" Great clue. Too bad I didn't get it. I was thinking tho, "how would he bond with his fans in a movie?" Hmmmmm Ha ha ha

Took me a moment or two, but I recognized it because of the man.
It's a photo from the 1958 play Ulysses in Nighttown, based on a part of the novel Ulysses by James Joyce. The man is Zero Mostel, and the woman is Bea Arthur (from TV's Maude and Golden Girls).
Incidentally, six years later in 1964, Mostel created the role of "Tevye" on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof, and Bea Arthur was the original "Yente the Matchmaker."

Got this one immediately - but I'm not going to spoil it for the rest of you. Odd thing: he would have been about 15 in the photo, and yet he's smoking a pipe?? He certainly wasn't known for smoking a pipe. I'm not going to say anything more. Signor V.

Fred MacMurray (played the Dad on My Three Sons) I don't think that's who it is, Mig - MacMurray was born in 1908 and would have only been around seven years old in 1915. This "kid" looks a bit older. Signor V.

Photo taken ABOUT 1915. I'm pretty bad at stuff like this ["Aww, that baby looks just like his mother" / "No, it looks just like a baby" lol], but he almost looks like a young version of your avatar... (my first impression was FDR, but I don't think so)

Just noticed this hint... One hint: you've seen him around these boards a lot. Over 20,000 times? If so... my turn: [ Photo Credit: http://waldocostume.net/ ]
