Hey does anybody else feel a little weird that the fact that GA did not report the last 2 plea deals that Luchibello and Marty took after reporting for years that they were gona get indicted with a smile on his face. Then after having all those mob scenes that there isnt one this week. Just a little strange dont you think? I wouldn't read anything into it. It's probably just a little anti-climactic for him. A long trial with a lot of press benefits him, so he's probably just disappointed that he's losing print space (which equals money ). The press are fucking vultures, man.

Do you know how disappointed Anastasia and the Feds must be? They've waited 12 years for another big trial against the Philly mob, and all they got now is some gambling, a little bit of violence and no murders. No made guys have flipped yet, and probably none will at this point, so the case isn't getting any more exciting. And George knows damn well Bent Finger Lou isn't gonna make a real exciting book.

Mousy threatens women and beats on them that guy deserves to be in jail hes a real low-life. He was out for what two years and now hes back in? Joe lived a decent life living a modest lifestyle compared to scarfo or merlino he actually probably put some money away so his family is not in shambles. Within the next few years, I'm sure they've already started taping Mazzone, Johnny Change, Nicodemo, Patterson and company.

I would be shocked if Ligambi and Mousie (especially him) DONT go to trial. A long sentence for these guys is effectively a death sentence given their advanced age or prior convictions. I think there is a good chance those guys go to trial given their age. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if they took a deal. Depends what the government is offering. I am really interested in what Borgesi is going to do.

Massimino is 62 and doesn't seem too bothered by prison, so if he is offered a 10 year deal, it would be logical to take it and be out in 7.5 years (with parole and time already served).

Me to. Borgesi was the Feds key. I think they thought they could get him to flip. I dont know if he will plead out or go to trial. Never know with Irish Georgie..lol Is he part Irish, he don't like 100% Italian

Mousie is a repeat offender of RICO drug charges and I think that if he gets convicted he is looking at automatic life sentence (I might be completely wrong tho) anybody else know anything about this...

What a joke!!!
Secret jury ordered for mob trial 08/10/2012 7:19 PM BY DAVID GAMBACORTA Philadelphia Daily News Daily News Staff Writer
Want to know the names, addresses and occupations of the jurors in the upcoming trial of reputed Philly mob boss Joseph Ligambi?
Fugetaboutit.
U.S. District Judge Eduardo C. Robreno on Friday granted a request from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the racketeering trial of Ligambi and 13 co-defendants to be presented to an anonymous jury.
Robreno's order means no personal information about the jurors will be released to the defendants, the attorneys involved in the trial, the media or the public.
The judge's order calls for the jurors to be sequestered during lunch and recess, under the watchful eyes of U.S. Marshals.
The marshals will also be tasked with transporting jurors to and from an undisclosed location every day of the trial, which is expected to begin in October.
According to Robreno's order, no unauthorized people - cough, cough, members of La Costra Nostra, cough - will be allowed to follow the jurors during their trips to and from court.
Ligambi’s attorney, Edwin Jacobs, urged Robreno last month to deny the U.S. Attorney’s Office request for protection for the jurors. Jacobs argued that the protective measures might lead jurors to believe that Ligambi was dangerous.
Robreno also denied a motion from one of Ligambi's co-defendants, Louis Barretta, who sought to preclude certain testimony from potential government witnesses.

it looks like the judge isnt gona give anything to the defendants, i mean a sequestered jury thats absurd. They all better look to plea out in this case. Sequestered juries are pretty much par for the course when a boss is being tried. It really comes as no surprise. And I agree, they should all plea out. I don't follow Philly all that closely, but when mob watchers write online that it's a "weak case," I honestly think that that's what they want to believe. From what I've read, they have these guys dead to rights. If the tapes are in, they're all guilty. If Ligambi goes to trial, it's only because he's an old man and he feels like he'll die in jail either way. Besides, he's playing with house money anyway. He never should have gotten out the last time.

Just out of curiosity, why do think they should plea out?? Did you see the evidence? Do you know someone on the case? You mean from what you heard from One-Way George Anastasia? That guy is trying to sell books. Why do you think both of his shows were cancelled? Cause he's full of shit. He talks about what the Feds tell him. He's very biases. I don't read Anastasia's columns, nor have I watched his show. But I have read a couple of his books. Like I said, I don't follow Philly too closely. But from what I've read about the case in the papers, it seems like a slam dunk to me because of the tapes. Massimino and Ligambi are both on tape, and Staino dealt with an undercover fed who was wired. If they go to trial, I don't know how they can win. Now if you want to tell me that the charges aren't all that serious (as far as mob cases go), then I agree. If they lose at trial they're still only looking at about ten years. But that can be a death sentence for Ligambi.
