Link. Very long, you'll want to be at about page 50 through page 100. But it's all good stuff. Tidbits - Several quotes from anonymous informants
- List of casualties in the Banana War
- Robert DiBernardo's ties to the Jersey Fam (Page 37)
- Joe Colombo creates family-wide regulations (Page 40)
- New information on obscure Bonanno boss Paul Sciacca
- St. Louis - Detroit connections (75+)
- Loyalties of the Madison Crime Family (86)
The bulk of the document is on Magaddino-Bonanno relations, that's where it gets very interesting. Remember this is during the Banana War. A lot of people feel the Joe Bonanno faked his own kidnapping. Till his death he claimed he was kidnapped by Peter Magaddino, but in Tucscon, Peter was exiled with him and worked as his bodyguard at Joe's own home. The guy who supposedly kidnapped him...Also under 'Albany' the FBI believes the Falcone Brothers of Utica were running an Utica Family, but still answered to Magaddino. Enjoy.

Yes good find. Probably one of the most important and revealing files the site has.

The DeCavalcantes have always been kind of shadowy to me. Sam the Plumber was clearly left out of most Commission affairs as his wiretaps are just him reciting what Gambino and Lucchese tell him. And having to share your turf with 7 other families, that would be awful. Hairy, do you know if there was ever a rift between New York and New Orleans or Tampa? Logic to me says those two belong on the Commission as much as Zerilli and certainly Bruno and Dragna (if he sat there at all).

Logic to me says those two belong on the Commission as much as Zerilli and certainly Bruno and Dragna (if he sat there at all). I have never come across any information suggesting any rift between NY and those Families. But then again, I´m just an amateur researching the Mafia for the fun of it. Perhaps ScottD can answer that question? However, the LA, NO and the Tampa Families does not appear to have ever sat on the Commission. I believe the La Stella Restaurant meeting in Queens, NY, which was broken up by the police and resulted in numerous arrests (Marcello one of them) was not a Commission meeting per se, but a formal request from Carlos Marcello to induct new members into his group. The meeting actually most certainly was held elswhere, but the restaurant served as a refreshment post either on the way to the meeting, or after the meeting had been conducted. As of DeCavalcante, I strongly doubt that he sat on the Commission. As you say, he seems to have had only second hand info when talking on those tapes. However, he was assaigned by the Commission to deliver messages between the Commission and the Bonanno faction during the Bananas War. Him being a non Commission member, strengthened his reputation of being a neutral party in that conflict.
