Hello everyone, new to the board. Just curious on your opinions of who is currently the most flashy and who does their best to keep a low profile when it comes to mafia familes in the U.S.
In my opinion the Chicago outfit seems to be the most low profile group. They do their best to blend in. But thats just from what I have read. What about the New York families? I know over time they have been known as the flashiest. Not sure which one stands out from the pack currently.
Thanks for your opinions.

Id have to say ethier the Outfit or the Genovese, i would love to say The Marcello Family they have still been running lucrative rackets but they wont make anyone new so the family is slipping fast... however the money these guys make off of real estate scams, and gambling is ridiculous

In your opinions, what family has the best dressers? I honestly don't think any of them dress all that nicely anymore. I'm sure when someone's getting made or a Family dinner would require something a bit more formal. But tracksuits, hawaiin shirts, etc casual clothing is what you would generally see these guys wearing most of the time. There has to be some guys left though that put effort into dressing with style. Anyone stand out? I know that Vinny Basciano is a exceptional dresser. He's imprisoned currently. Any others that you know of that put a premium on style?

From what I know, and I'm sure others on this site know a lot more than me, in this day and age with the FBI breathing down their necks no one wants to draw attention to themseleves anymore. I'll give you some of the top guys in the game today. Domenico Cefalu- Gambino Boss, in the few pictures of him I've seen he's in a tie and jacket. But since he was named boss I have not heard ONE thing regarding him and what he's doing. He keeps it very low key. Steven Crea- He seems more flashy. He's the Lucchese Boss and he's been at the top for awhile. But he's not a super violent thug like Amuso and Casso. Again I've seen him in a tux, but I he keeps it pretty low profile from what I can tell. Barney Bellomo- One of the top members of the Genovese Family and probably in all of New York. In his mugshot he was wearing a hoodie and jeans...? That says it all Some guys are just dumb enough to run their mouths about anything and anywhere and that's why they get caught, not because they dress nice. Some are more public than others, but in terms of dress it's not all silk suits and shiny shoes anymore.

If anyone tried to act and dress the way basciano or gotti did they'd be indicted in a week How about a guy liking to dress in suits. Would that bring attention from the Feds? The feds don't want mobsters dressing in suits or what?
