Yes they have, Made Man. Supposedly Bill Bonanno was involved, its a shitty game but i still played it.

And if you consider GTA IV a mafia game, i would say yes. I liked it how they portrayed the New York families in the game.

The new Mafia 3 game should be set in Vegas during the 60s through 70s. I think it would be cool to go two decades at a time on each game all the way up till modern times. And the two cities they have done all ready are Lost Heaven(Chicago) and Empire Bay (New York) so it will be cool to be able to gamble and watch shows and such for a change. I think that Vito won't be the main character, but maybe a supporting character or cameo.

Here's what I'm hoping for... I'm hoping that, like the majority of you speculated, that it's set in more recent times. For me that would hopefully be anywhere from 1970-1980's. Only reason I think they might skip the 60s is because a majority of U.S. men were sent off to Vietnam -- unless this character is a zip. Anyway, hopefully the storyline takes place in either Las Vegas, Chicago/Detroit, or Miami. Or, even better, you can fly from place to place like in the Godfather II game. Now here comes the gameplay, hopefully you would be able to do whatever you wanted. Whether that be peddling coke & or arms dealing, racketeering, or hell, even both-- who knows.

The game play is not that good. Its a wannabe GTA with probably a better story but much worse game play.
