What occupation is considered the "lowest of the low" within the Mafia ranks?
Guy who disposed of bodies?

I heard that Frank Costello had a personal ass wiper. That has to rank. Oh yeah, the guy was from Chicago .

If you're talking about the "lowest rank" in the mob, within guys who are actually connected or made. i dont know i would say maybe the guys who collected money or beat people up due to debts.

To be serious for a moment I would have to say a guy who is getting his foot in the door with bookmaking? I would think that the guy who can go out and be trusted to collect money and break someones legs must have more respect than a guy who just receives phone calls all day long each week during football season.
