According to Sammy himself, his "Luca Brasi" was actually Joe D´Angelo "Stymie". Stymie was shot dead during a brawl at Tali´s by a Colombo associate. Sammy later took Stymie´s kid, "Little Joe" under his wing. The kid was made in 1992 but turned informant/state´s witness.

I have to admit I got a chuckle when he went and knocked on the door and Peter Gotti answered. The look on his face was priceless when he was at the door.
