You missed a couple of commas out in that sentence. DE NIRO, I'm glad that you pointed that out. You only need twenty-one more posts till you reach 42,000! There are a lot of New York natives on this board that can give me a better answer then you. I'm sure Pizzaboy or Dapper knows a good place.

I'm probably going up to Brooklyn this weekend whose got the best pizza anyone got any recommendations? If you're going to Brooklyn, don't bother with DiFara's on Avenue J. As good as it is (or they think it is), it's overpriced and the God damned hipsters from Ohio are starting to take it over. Everyone knows I'm a Bronx guy, but my work was based out of Marine Park for many years, plus at least a third of my father's side of the family was from Pacific Street in East New York. All that said, go to Bensonhurst. Try Spumoni Gardens. It's not what it used to be, but it's still better than most: http://www.spumonigardens.com/

DickNose, While you can't post, I'm sure you can still read posts in absentia: Spumoni Gardens on 86th Street is a good bet, but in my territory there is J&R Pizza on Kings Highway near Ocean Ave. They've been around for many years, and their pizza is quite good. If you're going to Brooklyn, don't bother with DiFara's on Avenue J. As good as it is (or they think it is), it's overpriced and the God damned hipsters from Ohio are starting to take it over. I agree with PB. No pizza is worth $5.00 a slice. Ridiculous. "Hipsters from Ohio"? I'm assuming you mean the customers and not the ownership! Signor V.

In terms of pizza spots in the borough, I would recommend Lucali in Carroll Gardens,Patrizia's Pizza and Pasta in South Williamsburg, and Paulie Gee's in Greenpoint. All good options, hope you enjoyed your visit.
