To be fair after Mel Gibson, celebrities feel better knowing that things could always be worse.

Also, note to celebrities: If you pull the celebrity card in an attempt to keep the police from arresting you, your likelyhood of getting arrested increases 1000%.

Also, Al Michaels, the distinguished sprtscaster and voice of Sunday Night Football, was busted this weekend for DUI, and spent the night in jail.

how fucking hard is it to get a cab, or in the case of these 2 spoiled dopes, a limo? how hard is it to not drive after drinking? i don't even like driving after 1 drink, because if you get pulled over with any booze on your breath, its gonna be a pain in the ass.

They made a mistake drinking and driving, but they were treated like everyone else. Except the media gets to hang it out there because they can make something off it.

No question about it FS, and there are a zillion arrests like this every day and there is no publicity. The worst thing she did was try to influence the officer with her celebrity status, which is probably the worst thing you can say to a cop.

If someone is pulled over and tells the officer "Do you know who I am?" It will never lead to a warning and no ticket.

Amen to that. I always have one person (usually somebody who wants to relax/take it easy) stay as the designated driver precisely for these situations.

I've always liked Witherspoon so was surprised to see this especially in this day and age, when drinking and driving is so looked down upon. In my day we did it all the time which was pretty stupid. How many of us have had "One too many" and gotten stupid ? At least she made an immediate apology. Hopefully she and other ego maniacs will learn something from this
