No he did not...Kuklinski never killed for the mafia, he stayed away from them after DeMeo slapped him around. Real LCN guys from that time period find the idea laughable that he was a mafia hitman. Look at the list of people Iceman was convicted of killing...notice there are no Italian surnames? Funny for a mafia hit man...Carlo paid $10k to Kuklinski for his story, and I have heard people on the inside speculate Carlo just told him to sit back and let him make up his story for him. demeo only liked people that he could beat up! You wouldn't have liked him he get out his pastas in the gemini lounge than after a good meal he'd start out with a question to anyone next start bitching then yelling and hitting. Hard to keep people working for you once they know about you and what to expect so I could see it happening though not with kuklinsky. Why not with Kuklinski? Roy was a made guy with a ton of killers behind him. One on one, fair fight with no crews involved...then I think Richard would obviously tear Roy apart.

Just thought I would share these nuggets and let you know there is a lot more to come. But to what end? Don't get me wrong, I completely agree that Carlo was a lousy writer, and I post as much almost every time his name comes up here. But Carlo's being a hack does nothing to absolve Pitera of his crimes. He's a multiple murderer and he belongs exactly where he is. If he believes he's getting out one day, good for him. But a lot of lifers convince themselves of that very thing just to help them cope. The truth is, when it comes to getting his conviction thrown out, Pitera has about the same odds as Charles Manson (who killed fewer people, by the way). But if there's "more to come" simply because you want to continue to discredit Carlo, go ahead. I thought the guy was a no talent hack. But he's dead, so I don't want to pile on. You raise a good point, and I myself have said on this board before that none of this makes Tommy a saint by any means. However there is a lot of lies about there, and since this is an OC discussion board it seems worthwhile to try to discover some bits of truth about a well known figure. Also, there was a ton of corruption involved with DEA Unit 33, again does not mean Tommy is a choir boy but it is worth while to bring up the dirty tactics the government used against him. Tommy being guilty, and the feds being dirty are not mutually exclusive. Put it another way, most people would say the Boston branch of the Patriarca Family was guilty of all sorts of crimes, doesn't mean we shouldn't discuss all the shady things the FBI with Bulger and Flemmi to put them into prison. Anyway, nice change of pace I would think from the speculation, and NY tabloid articles that often fill these boards. both raise good points if pitera was alone with his crew, without the help from the dea unit 33 or nypd than that means he must having dealing on FB (ok bad example).

Pitera did not have the help of the feds, the allegation is that Frank Gangi did...before his DUI and "fipping." I remember this the guy got drunk one night and gave the cops everything.Thats fuckin crazy

You're full of shit or hard of hearing if you think he sounds like "Michael Jackson but more falsetto" like Carlo describes him.

Tommy did start in NYC, but then went to Japan (with the support of his father, unlike what Carlo says). Also unlike what Carlo says Tommy did in fact operate a school next to a military base (the one on Okinawa I believe but don't quote me on that just yet).
And again, Tommy sounds more like Tommy Udo in Kiss of Death as the DEA agents who hunted him said. But really he has more of an authentic Brooklyn accent.
If Tommy has an girl's voice than half the Italian guys in Brooklyn are in trouble too...

why you talking for im talking from experience i knew tommy from the street i didnt say he sounded like mj but he had a little girl voice You must have a very liberal definition of "girl's voice." He sounds like Tommy Udo in "Kiss of Death" but with a more..."authentic"(shall we say) Brooklyn accent.
