I was looking up some stuff for an article I was writing when I stumbled on a story about a Speakeasy in New York City that was operating out of a rooftop water tank. The Night Heron , a pop-up Speakeasy in Chelsea, is probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. It is just too damn bad that these things just don’t happen on the West coast!
sigh....

Ive passed by this place but never went inside. Seems like a popular local spot.

Tommy Shots: They want me running the family, don't they know I have a young wife?
Sal Vitale: (laughs) Tommy, jump in, the water's fine.

A buddy of mine from NY told me that when he was a pre teen they used to go swimming in the rooftop water towers. And yet they say that NYC water is the best - I bet those kids added some flavor of their own
