surprisingly i have not yet seen this posted. am i the only tool that enjoyed the music so much i had to go out and get the soundtracks?
anyways, does anyone have any favorite music themes or musical moments from the trilogy?
to name a few specific ones:
michael's theme would have to be my favorite

the song they play when young vito arrives in NY i believe its called the immigrant song (led zeppelin excluded)

the song they play when young clemenza and vito bring the new carpet up to vito's apartment

and for some reason i get goosebumps everytime anthony sings the first verse of the opera in GFIII

Yes I did enjoy the music, and yes I do have the soundtrack. It fun to listen to . Anyway, I dont really have any favorite GF songs but on occassion, I'll find myself humming the rug-steeling song as I'm walking down the street, or I'll hum other GF songs as I'm doing something simmilar to when that song appearewd in the movie.

My daughter bought me the trilogy soundtrack for Christmas. I really like it. I would like to buy 1*2*3 seperately though. If I can find them somewhere.

For some reason, and I have no idea why, I LOVE the song at Connie's wedding in Part I. It is just so cool!

i love the song anthony's singing in sicily "brucia la terra", its really sad, just always when i listen to it it really touches me. bu there are more songs that are good. i like the godfathertheme 2.

Although I like all the music in GF, The Immigrant is definitely my favorite. It's just beautiful and powerful to me.

The music of the Godfather films is very good and I enjoy listening to it. I don't have any of the soundtracks yet, but this summer I'll probably buy them.

My girlfriend just gave me the trilogy soundtrack for Valentine's Day. I enjoy listening to it in the car, but I'm disappointed it doesn't have that song at the end of Part III. The one playing while we see the flashbacks of Michael dancing. It's also in the openig credits of Raging Bull. I like that song.

An entertaining musical section is at Anthony's party in Nevada when Johnny Five Aces tries to get the musicians to play a traditional Sicillian tune and they end up playing a nursery rhyme!!!

The best music is the actual Godfather theme (which I use on my mobile for the ringtone)

i´d love the music of the godfather in special from GF 2 and one of my favorites songs are the immigrant and the end song from part 3.

i have all three soundtracks as well and love them. my fave would have to be the godafther love theme. i also love the finale on all three. like everytime i finish the movie i have to wait till the credits are completely over cause the music is so beautiful. i also love kays theme. and the song where micheal and kay dance to after anthonys communion. but they also danced to that song in part one at connies wedding i love that one cause its just sad how it couldnt have worked out. you knew they loved each other but micheal just got too dee. i love a rose is still on rose and promise me you'll remember from part three. i have a question too? i know that the song anythony sings in part three is on the website but i really like hearing that song and wondered why they didnt put it on the godfather three soundtrack.

I absolutely LOVE the music from The Godfather; I believe it's one of the components that made it so great. It's hard to pick a favorite tune, as I also have the soundtrack. The main title always gives me goosebumps, so I guess I appreciate that one quite a bit. The love theme is very remarkable too. It's still too hard, because they're all so good!

Sounds a little like the band opening for a Sinatra song. Good stuff.

I do not have one particular song that is my favorite, but I will say that there isnt one bad song in the movie and they all fit very well with the movie. Without the music, The Godfather would not be as great as it is. The music is the key in making it great in my opinion.

The imigrant is the best somg..also the theme from Raging Bull at the end of part 3

mine are The Godfather Main Title and Waltz from Part 1, and The Immigrant and The Brothers Mourn (aren't they practically the same song though?) from Godfather II. haven't heard anything from Godfather III's CD though. it's been hard since i moved to the Philippines, i only found one store that had the GOdfather DVD collection in stock, and guess what I bought it!! hahaah maybe i'll post about the differences between the American and Asian Region 3 version of the DVD Collection sometime...

I was just going through the older threads, found this, and had to post... I have the Godfather Suite Soundtrack, and I love basically any song from the movies...in fact, in the middle of this post, I had to go get the CD to listen to, because I started thinking about all the good songs! lol I can't find the case right now, but I found the track list on a website, so I guess I'll just trust that. Lemme see, these have probably already been posted, but my favs. are:

"The Godfather's Mazurka" - I think Vito and Connie danced to this...? Maybe not, but it's a good song regardless..lol

"A New Carpet" - When Clemeza and Vito got the carpet...obviously...

- Napule ve Salute (Goodbye to Naples)
...but can't remember for sure which parts they were in... I need to go through and see which parts they were, because that's gonna bother me. Man, I guess that means I have to watch the GF again!

I also like the song played when Tom's going to visit Jack Woltz...I don't think it's on this CD.

But my absolute favorite is apparently called "Marcia Religiosa" which plays while Fanucci is walking through the parade...I think it really fits well with the scene and whatnot. I love that song!

MY favorite Godfather music moment, isn't even original music from the movie's composer. It is the famous theme that is played at the end of GF3 when Michael is reflecting over his life, especially with Appolonia, Kay, and Mary.

Does anyone know what theme that is that is played?

That scene wells me up with emotion each time.

I bought the soundtrack to GF3 for that reason alone. However, it is not contained. The soundtrack is still great though.

I don't know whether this is on the soundtrack b/c I don't own it. I wouldn't even call it a song per se, but I love the music that is being played when Michael is arriving at the hospital to visit his father. It's also played again in the regular release of GF, but I'm drawing a blank as to when. However, I remember a deleted scene in which Sonny is going over to tell Mama that Vito was shot and the same music is playing. It's a few keys of a piano and some softer accompanying instruments.

Is there a title for the music I'm describing?
