Are any of the truly INFAMOUS crews of the day still around? Any remnance of the Robert's Lounge guys; DeMeo's Gemini Lounge crew; Motion Lounge Crew etc.???
Are there any guys on the street today running the old crews? Or are there any remnants from the original group of guys still operating today?

Interesting. I didn't know Barney was running a crew. I thought he'd been elevated to top echelon.

Those Genovese are really a different breed. The way I read the boards it seems like this in the tri state area:
3rd tier: Colombo; Jersey family
2nd: Lucchese's, Gambino's, Bonnano's
1st: Genovese's
That's crazy (given similar hiring pools, government pressure, etc) that they're light years ahead of their 4 counterparts when it comes to sustainability.

What's the state of the Triangle crew? Last Capo of record I recall was Baldy Dom, and he passed away in the early nineties. Who took over after? After Canterino died in 1993 the crew was split between Dominick Cirillo and Mario Gigante. Those Genovese are really a different breed. The way I read the boards it seems like this in the tri state area:
3rd tier: Colombo; Jersey family
2nd: Lucchese's, Gambino's, Bonnano's
1st: Genovese's

It would be the Genovese #1, with the Gambinos a strong #2. From there it is a big drop off to the three smaller New York families. And after them is another big drop off to a family like the DeCavalcantes.

Yes bonnano conspired with the colombo family(then the profaci family)to murder carlo gambino and tommy lucchese. The contract was given to profaci capo joe colombo who instead of killing gambino and lucchese went and told them the plan. As punishment they made bonnano retire and appointed some1 else as head of the family. But bonnano came back with his son and recruited some guys that were still loyal to him and tried to take back the family. Thats how the so called "bannana spilt" started. I know nevada was considered outfit territory but i had no idea arizona was to. That's the old story of what happened, but the evidence points to Magliocco conspiring to kill Gambino and Lucchese. The Bonannos were accused of it but they had no involvement in it. The division in the Bonannos started when Magaddino started supporting Gaspare DiGregorio to take over as boss after the Bonannos were accused of the conspiracy. Yes. Thank you! I´ve mentioned this several times on here but it´s like talking to a freaking wall.
