I was curious in the book - i think some one says something like "remeber when I said it's not personal only business. Well, everthing is personal.

Can someone confirm the quote?

Michael said that to (I believe) Tom, Vito learned Michael to see everything personal. It's not exactly right, Vito and Michael both used mixtures of business and personal. Hope this answers your question...

I don't know which edition of the book you have. If it's the 30th anniversary edition, try page 145.

If not, the scene is near the end of Book I, right before Michael leanes for his meeting with Sollozzo.

I like the line, "Go ahead ,Tom, not even a Sicilian Consigliere always agrees with the boss." - by Vito. He's acknowlageing that he reconizes Tom's frustrating ethnicity and his own status as "the boss". I love it. I could just see him laughing and saying that.
