Don't feel bad about not having read the book. I've just started it myself. To me though you can't be considered a GF fan until you've read the book. That's why I started it in the first place.

In the UK I bought the paperback version for £6.99 out of a book shop, but could have had it for less over the internet (Saw it and couldn't be bothered to wait!). Buy it if you can afford it, it's a brilliant book that will surprise you with the extra subplots that weren't included in the movie(for the better of the movie IMHO).

I bought it yesterday and have read over 100 pages so far. Its very addictive and hard to put down despite having a lot of other things to do yesterday.
I got it for £6.99 (paperback) in Ottikars(sp?) book shop. Different front cover to the ones on Amazon.
Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers........Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life.

You got that right MICK. I just read the Godfather for the first time over Spring Break on the plane, I couldn't put it down! After reading it on the plane I read it again. It's a GREAT book (except the stuff about Jules Segal and Lucy Mancini).
"Fredo, you're my older brother, and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone against the family again. Ever."
"Fredo, you're nothing to me now; not a brother, not a friend. I don't want to know you or what you do."
"Only don't tell me you're innocent. Because it insults my intelligence."
