Hi im selling a set of 3 godfather news papers which are real scans of The ones which were in Brandos collection.

These papers have been remastered and cleaned up to look just how they were in 1972 and on real newsprint paper.

A set of Three papers will be £40 + p&p but they can be sent from Canada or the UK .

Wonderful stuff! Great example of the fanatical attention to detail that characterizes GF and II.

We also get a confirmation of when Vito was shot:

The "ears" (the little box at the top of the front page) of the Daily News shows that it was the "Final" edition of that paper for that day. Before TV news and Internet, daily newspapers pubished several editions each day to keep up with breaking news. So, Vito's shooting would have occurred that day--it's the front page story. The back page (Sports) says, "Janiro Outpoints..." (can't see the rest). Tony Janiro defeated Humberto Zavala in Madison Square Garden on Dec. 21, 1945. Since that match probably occurred the day before Vito was shot (not breaking news like Vito's shooting), we can assume that Vito was shot on December 22, 1945. Fits right in with the Christmasy stuff, and Tom doing last minute shopping before Solozzo snatched him.

If any one wants a set let me know I won't be doing many and I'm only doing them for this forum since I think the fans need a good priced prop or I can do single prints for £12

Hey no worries they are here for any one who wants them i agree they are cool that why i started the project ,but i think although they are cool they only people who really want a set are for those fans that want a piece of the movie but without paying £7000 for the real set.

These papers are a good investment and have had them valued for £100

Would Luca Brasi have been kiled on the same day? I think they whacked Brast the night before, which would have occured on the same day.
