With Geary in Fredo's Brothel
When Micheal kills everyone, and he announces it to Carlo, he obviously inclludes the names of the heads of all the families. I can understand why he would want to kill Barzini and Tatt but what did Cuneo and Stracci and the other heads of the families do other tham go along with the idea of selling drugs. Are we to infer they all gave Sol the green light to kill Vito or Barz the green light to kill Sonny? If they merely allied themselves with Barzini, they would have done so for business reaons only. Was this another case of overlikk by Mike, or was it his way of making a Statement that the Corleones were back, and that no one should dare trifle with them?

"Io sono stanco, sono imbigliato, and I wan't everyone here to know, there ain't gonna be no trouble from me..Don Corleone..Cicc' a port!"

"I stood in the courtroom like a fool."

"I am Constanza: Lord of the idiots."

DT, it was FFC's decision to dramatize the ending (and maybe to emphasize that Michael was now kingfish). He did the same with Sonny's murder which in the novel was carried out by a couple of men with pistols.

Yes, it was directoral license to beef up the violence in that scene.

Ntra la porta tua lu sangu sparsu,
E nun me mporta si ce muoru accisu...
E s'iddu muoru e vaju mparadisu
Si nun ce truovo a ttia, mancu ce trasu.
