I read the first one, but i know there are 3 movies, how come? is there continuation for the first one?

There is only one book. Puzo never wrote a sequel to the novel - though there is one coming out in November, 2004 by the guy authorized by Puzo's heirs and the publisher.

I highly doubt it will measure up to the one and only great original.

Mario Puzo was on the set of the second and third, I think and fanucci's murder, which was in the second movie, was written about in the book, the first one

There is only one book, but a lot of parts in the second movie take place in the book. Such as Vito Corleone played by Robert De Niro's parts.

Part 1 and the flashbacks of Part 2 are in the book.
