I would say Demeo was probably given the respect of a capo weather he was or not, despite rank...I don't think many would disagree !!! i would i don't like your opinions Sorry if my opinions offend you, but i don't think any of them were made at you !!! your talking like a man who has done no research...demeo was not even cared for by his own boss...so why would anyone respect him or treat him as a capo...people feared him but not respected.

Yeah because Castelanno feared him...That means to you he wasn't treated with the respect of a capo ??
Do you know how many capo's have been killed over the years ???
Demeo was part of Castelanno's ''white collar wing'' right ??? What did Neil Delacroce from the ''blue collar wing'' think about him...Have you researched ??? ive researched everything...auto theft drugs kiddy porn and murder for hire is not white collar stuff

I believe it was in Murder Machine where Gaggi told DeMeo that since he wasn't Sicilian that he'd never get above the rank of soldier in the Gambino Family. Yup that was in Murder Machine

DeMeo was a skillful hitman and a good earner. Violence or money-making are the two main ways to get recognized and go places in the Mob. He wouldn't have had time for a day-job.
