See Anthony Hopkins is in it, not sure how Travolta will fare as Gotti. Armand Assante has been the best Gotti for me so far.

Travolta looks nothing like John Gotti. I think that Stallone with a little more pounds could make a better Gotti.

Armand Assante nailed John Gotti better than John Gotti himself Assante should play Gotti again. Only thing I don´t like about the HBO film, is that ther´re trying to make Gotti look like he wasnt a rasict but in real life he was.

Most people are racists against others that aren't their own kind. Who cares that's just the way of the world.

That stupid movie will never get made unless it's straight to dvd. But assuming it did, when casting Gotti you have to remember that he was jailed for life at 50 years old. And most of the action took place from his thirties until he turned 50. So the idea of a 60 year old like Travolta, or an almost 70 year old like Stallone, playing him just doesn't work. They need to cast a guy around 35 or 40 who they can age up, not down.

I love watching gotti movies, but they allready have plenty of gotti movies like witness to the mob, gotti, and boss of bosses(kind of sharing with castellano) and even the sinatra club. All good watched. I will be sure to check it out when they make it, but why don't they try some different material from other past crime families, allways wanted to see something different.

You can't have a queer play Gotti. He would be so fashion conscious that the wardrobe would be off. The queer would keep trying to wear Brioni suits and pinky rings in the movie. It just wouldn't work.

I thought that HBO version was ridiculous. The guy they have playing Sammy the Bull looks ridiculous. And watch the part where he kill john favara, the guy that hit Gotti's son. Sammy actually does this standing front kick and knocks the guy out. It looks ridiculously fake and gay.

Travolta should forget playing Gotti so that he can star in a show called "Welcome Back Barberino"

The last thing I would want to see is another Gotti movie,especially one "as told by" Junior. The other Gotti movies were terrible and the Assante one was the worst. Without getting off on a whole tangent,suffice to say that every major plot point in that movie was completely fictional.
If I thought that at long last we were going to get a decent,fairly true story,then I would look forward to this latest offering. However,being that it is going to be basically "as told by Junior",this will probably be the worst ever.
Let me see, "my father was the last of his kind,a great guy,a mobster,yes,but not a killer,never dealt drugs,and was totally framed by his friends".
Please,let this new movie be just a rumor.

Damn I thought Armand Assante played a real good Gotti

Though not really respected, the Gotti story would be good for a movie, but I've been hearing about this for a long time and don't think work has even started on it. The tv SERIES WEREN'T THAT GREAT.
