Some do, but not all. Scarfo would have any of his competition killed then inform on them to LE. Even some won't be forth coming with information if they are an informant, just bits and pieces to keep LE interested, and to make sure they are not in hot water with their handlers.

But the burden of proof lies with the accuser. If you're going to say someone might of snitched, you should back it up with evidence or a rationale beyond just "well all of these guys probably do it".

Maddog - If you are a made guy and you do anything with police to help eliminate the competition and this information gets out, you're boss is probably going to kill you. Best case scenario is nobody is going to trust you and want to work with you again. And a made guy would know this. They would never take the risk. Beyond the fact that they mostly take pride in never working with law enforcement in any way. A small number of guys flip or help LE in some way. Not most I don't think.

In the very distant past most did not rat out to the police or other LEOs cutting a deal, or talk about what they did; but in the last 30 or 40 years yeah a lot do talk now. It's also like this in Italy now.

They don't all rat. Two reasons if people thought you might rat as a kid. The kid would never make it to adulthood.

Plus they hate cops above all others. Being a rat would help them you would rather fuck them them help them.

On smart Italians the kids that played soccer for us here in Brooklyn on the Brooklyn Italians were all nice kids but they were school stupid.
