One of the more obscure turncoats in my opinion is Frank "Googoo" Suppa who turned in the early 1990s. What info did he provide the government with? Did he testify against the Taccettas? Did he turn before Accetturo did? I find it kinda amazing that this guy is not more often mentioned on these forums. Does anyone have any solid info on his given testimony?
I have him as a made member, soldier in Lucchese family´s NJ faction. Made in early or mid 1980s, indicted with Accetturo et all, pleaded guilty (on separate racketeering and drug charges and was sentenced to a 12 year term) before the trial started. I also know that Suppa was arrested in 1964, with three others, in a gambling raid conducted in Newark, NJ. He was charged with possession of policy slips. Suppa was indicted again, as part of an armed robbery and theft gang in 1974 with 31 others (Frank "The Bear" Basto being one of them) after an Essex county grand jury began probing 18 murders. Suppa allegedly had stabbed a man named Tuck Fan Eng, after the victim had surprised him in the act of setting a bar on fire. He apparently moved to Hollywood, Florida sometime in the 1980s and according to authorities, served as Accetturos right hand man down there.
