Toto' Riina was from the Palermo province, but his brother Gaetano belonged to the Mazara del Vallo family in the Trapani province.
Giuseppe Bono was the boss of the Bolognetta family (Palermo province) while his brother Alfredo was in the San Giuseppe Jato family in the same province. That's interesting, Dwalin. I was just going to ask you or Carmela if it was as common over there as it is over here. I'd think not, but I'm happy to stand corrected.

If you have all the brothers and cousins being made into the same family, you create a potentially dangerous situation for yourself if you are a boss because you are essentially creating a mafia family WITHIN a mafia family. Case in point, the Gottis. Very bad for Castellano. What you post is not without merit. But the Gottis under Castellano aren't the best example because only Gene and John were made at that time. Pete was a brokester on an early garbage pension, and Junior was still pushing fifty dollar bags of quinine cut blow to high school kids.

Thank you carmela, it slipped my mind on Rosario, since it has been well documented about the sitdown between Gotti and Scarfo over Rosario. I'll make the correction. Make the correction where? I don't even see where you talked about the family. edit: never mind, I just saw your list above.

Welcome to the boards Alfa Romeo. Thanks Giacomo What you post is not without merit. But the Gottis under Castellano aren't the best example because only Gene and John were made at that time. Pete was a brokester on an early garbage pension, and Junior was still pushing fifty dollar bags of quinine cut blow to high school kids. Understood PizzaBoy.
