If they were involved, why didn't they teach them how to make sophisticated bombs or at least ones that work. Because they were after the guns. IEDs are already illegal. What 911 was to the greater society, Columbine(and many other school shootings) was to the school kids. You've got an entire generation now who think it's entirely normal to have a policeman watch over them all the time. They now accept as normal searches, metal detectors, etc. Columbine was in essence a giant psy-op.

The parents of Eric Harris released his autopsy report, which revealed he was on Luvox, an SSRI drug, at the time of the shooting. It is unknown what the tox screen on Klebold showed.
However, the statements of the witnesses in the library, where most of the killing occurred, indicated the shooters were certainly under the influence of something:
Library witness Crystal Woodham "She said that they(the library shooters) sounded happy, not evil or mean."
Library witness Heidi Johnson "It was like they weren't even there. I saw their faces .... and their eyes were just kind of like, they weren't there, you know, these boys just didn't know what they were doing."

I believe more school shootings will continue to happen as well as public shootings. The America of today is a mess and we can blame it on one of 100 reasons. But plain in simple the group of kids under millennials whatever their called never were probably in an arcade or had a bike w. training wheels they went straight to the RIP STICK ! No Pun intended. But we got a bunch of young punks and stupid blondes who don't supervise them instead take pictures of their breasts and how to enhance them for their new instagram photo
Yeah Your Gangster Alright!! Keep making excuses on why our country is in bad shape just admit your a hump already

Apparently, no one else on here is a Columbiner lol. I've read a lot into it. I was in 7th grade when it happened and I still remember seeing the news reports. The response then was the same as it is now. complete and utter stupidity, followed by blaming the easiest of targets. I still remember sitting there thinking how stupid the adults in the situation had to be to try to ban Marilyn Manson or video games. They refuse to accept the fact that there were two seriously mentally ill children that went unnoticed by their families and the community at large. we still refuse to except the fact that we have a serious problem with a culture of bullying The zero tolerance policies that came after this have done nothing except empower bullies and get rid of common sense. they were a knee jerk reaction ushered in by parents who absolutely refused to accept the fact that their sweet little angel will brutalize and assault other students during the day at school. victims are not allowed to fight back without tarnishing themselves. combine that with a community that encourages bullying and hazing as a right of passage, a set of parents that either don't now or don't care, or are abusive, and the mental psyche of an adolescent. that is one giant molotov cocktail ready to explode. Columbine was not some random freak occurance, and school shootings have not risen in frequency in recent times. in fact we've had school shootings basically for as long as we have had schools in this country. there wasn't some "golden age" in america where this stuff didn't happen, that's a complete fantasy. this isn't something that bringing jesus into school or saying the pledge of allegiance is going to fix. this is a long rooted illness in this country that nobody is willing to do anything meaningful to fix.

I don't know much about the Sandy Hook Massacre.. I read that that kid did have some sort of mental problem, like Asperger's or some sort of autism or something like that.
I also read that he was also obsessed with Columbine. I'm no expert on that subject though.

joey, what about that kid that gunned down 32 kids in the elementary school, the one that killed his mother, are you going to get into that one at all? I will never understand that kids reasons.
do you have anything to say about that kid, do you see some of the same mental attitude with him compared to the columbine shooters? Binnie, I know you are a big reader so here are two reports that I found about Sandy Hook. They are long but, well worth the read. "The Connecticut’s Office of the Child Advocate (OCA) released a 114-page report that examined the two decades of Adam Lanza’s life that preceded the December 14 shootings. The authors, mental health and education professionals and members of the OCA, drew on medical, mental health and school records along with interviews and law enforcement documents to track Lanza’s educational, developmental and mental health profile and assess his condition leading up to the shootings" http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2014/images/11/21/office.of.the.child.advocate.report.pdf.pdfAnd the other is by the prosecutor: http://www.ct.gov/csao/lib/csao/Sandy_Hook_Final_Report.pdf

bean, yes, it was a long read. im not quite sure what to make of it all, he had problems, that were not addressed by the school district, at one point my attention was drawn to the matter of his on-line activity with others discussing murdering people, also the book he had written about the " granny"
seems like another red flag. I was struck that the entire killings, took only 11 minutes. also the computer taken from adam lanzas home remains unreadable. no one has divulged what it contained. the reports are very through, and detailed, I will be reading them for a few days.
thank you very much for the links you have given me. I very much appreciate it.

Yes, any event like that is always very tragic but when children are involved...it tugs at the heart strings a little harder.

As I stated before, I have not much looked into Sandy Hook other than what television and Wikipedia have said.
I've always thought that Eric and Dylan kind of have "paved the way" for these people that go on shooting sprees. They weren't the first no, but probably the first VERY publicized case, considering with television and the internet boom at the time. And because they had it all planned out. Almost nothing they had planned worked but it wasn't just a spur of the moment thing. They had this idea for more than a year. From the little I read about the Sandy Hook kid, it sounds like his was more of a spur of the moment type thing. He may have wanted to do it for a long time but I don't think he had it planned out necessarily . Then you have someone like that Virginia Tech kid who took it to a whole new level.....
It's all really a "toss up" as far as similarities go. I think any mass murder is going.to have similarities. Like Eric and Dylan were obsessed with Oklahoma City. You could find similarities in Charles Witman's case and that James Holmes guy. Or the Bath School Massacre and the Unabomber if you looked hard enough.
