I'm doing a research project about Nicky Scarfo. Does anyone know the current whereabout of Scarfo's boat "Casablanca Usual Suspects"? Thank for the help.

George, I don't know who owns it now but it's currently docked on the intracoastal in Manalapan Florida.

I used to love watching first 48 in this one Miami ep. there some part of the city were people just go leave the old 70tys boats that are all runed down in some lagoon. they called it water world all bums doing drugs on these abandoned boats some big house boats. guess in the 80tys all the coke dealers had boats then went to jail or just couldn't keep up with the upkeep. surporsied scarfo boat is stll afoat 25+yrs later. the fbi took his rolls wonder why they didn't take the boat. think he crazy phill said the house was under a shell corppration.

The boat was under another name and corporation if I remember correctly.

Scarfo's house in Florida and his boat were seized by the government. Scarfo bought the house from a man named Leonard J. Mercer and kept it in his name. The house was auctioned off in 1989.

The 40-foot Silverton boat was in Jerry Blavats name. The boat was originally purchased for 107k and Scarfo gave Blavat 35k to put towards the purchase with the rest of the purchase price being financed by a bank that Blavat borrowed money from. Blavat had a $800 a month bank payment for the remaining money owed on the boat. The bank repossessed the boat according to the NJ report OCBars2 after Scarfo got locked up and Blavat must of stopped making the loan payments but i read the boat was also seized by the government.

Blavat claimed he sold the boat to Scarfo for 70k in 1985 and that Scarfo was making the $800 a month payments on the boat until his final arrest. Blavat fought the seizure saying he was the lawful owner because he was never paid in full for it and the bank also claimed ownership.

I'm not sure of the outcome of the forfeiture trial, but it is almost impossible to get possessions seized by the government back once they've seized it. I suspect the boat was auctioned off at some point but i'm not positive. Most likely it was auctioned off and the bank received whatever money was still owed to it and the government kept the rest of the money from the eventual sale.

The feds thought Blavat was a mob groupie and they didn't buy his bullshit story.

I thought Nick Caramandi in some mob doc said that Jerry Blavat owned the house or the house was in Blavat's name. He said that is why he would show up eat a meatball sandwich and leave. I think this was in the Mobfathers Doc or the book. Maybe Caramandi didn't know. I guess Leonetti would know more. Maybe I watch Mobfathers again and see if it was in there.

I thought i crossed this before........Nicky's boat is dead & gone .....they ( the FBI) confiscated that shit years ago...& the dude who got the boat was non other than Jerry Blavat...it was under his name from day 1 as well as the Florida house......the boat is believed 2 b burnt down by order of the the jitbag FBI.....in the intracoastal freeway no less!!...
