Just a few hours till the polls close. I think it is going to be a bloodbath for the Dems.

Perhaps not a bloodbath. But the way things are going, I would say there is a decent chance that the Republicans will take back the Senate by a slim margin. No question they'll take at least four or five seats. It all depends on the toss ups. For example if Scott Brown wins in New Hampshire or if Tillis wins in North Carolina.

The President is a like a bad head cold nobody wants. Just like Bush in 06 no one wants to be associated with him in reelection campaigns. And it will cost a fair amount of Democrats their seats in Congress

maybe, most likely really, but, what kind of changes will there be. if any, Obama still has a veto vote, and I believe

the republicans don't have enough to override a veto.

Good analogy. Not that a Republican will be any better. This country's broken. Hope and change my ass.

I honestly believe politics doesn't attract honest individuals. Not sure if it ever did but it sure doesn't now. It's become a career instead of a service. It's too bad.

My wife and I have been together since we were teenagers. In the early years we used to watch political shows every night. Up until middle years of Bush the 2nd. We just become so disillusioned with it all. All of a sudden it hit is we've been duped. It was all a charade. Haven't paid close attention since.

I try to pay more attention to my local politics. Where my vote counts a little more. Or so I tell myself.

My two bits

At least now they will be votes in the senate. Under Reid their we're hardly any votes in the Senate for rep or dem for that matter.

So let obama veto every bill let him look like an obstructionist.

If republicans are smart that is a big IF

Every bill should be a bill that will creat jobs. Not Obama care not any thing else. For everyone including things for minorities.

They should pass an immigration bill but protect our borders first. Let Obama veto that.

The president has little control over jobs. The cheap labor overseas is what closed all those factories. And I hate to say it but so did regulations. On one hand u need regulations to keep people safe. On the other it costs money and companies leave.
Capitalism. Bottom line profit. Bound to happen.

Hopefully it is cyclical and the cheap labor rises overseas and the jobs come back.

It's really about them. Men like George Washington considered themselves public servants. They were subject to the people not the other way around. Wish it was still like that

I think it would be safe to say that lobbyists control policy
in the u.s. congress. their power and influence in congress writing laws, and getting them passed, is enormous. no matter what party holds a majority.

Tonight was expected. The GOP House was expected to extend their control and the Senate had a likelihood of going back to Republican hands.

The only thing I was shocked at were the Governor's races. Holy smoke I didn't see that coming. I was expecting the Democrats to gain some of the governorships, but it ended up being the other way around. Only Pennsylvania changed in favor of the Democrats. I was happy to see Charlie Baker win in Massachusetts though, there needs to be more of a counterbalance to the Democratic majority in the legislature. Plus Martha Coakley should be in jail for some of the stuff she did while Attorney General. If she couldn't beat Scott Brown in 2010, she wasn't going to win against someone even more likeable than Brown.

The senate is in Republican hands.

Question remains what will they do with it?

On regulations to comply with these regulations cost businesses old and new a lot of money. There are a ton of duplicate regulations as well and those duplicate regulations costs old & new business even more more. This does not make sense.

On sending jobs over seas. As I recall President clinton was our President at the time and he signed off on it as I recall. Please you guys check that and see if it is true or not. My memory is going and I hate goggling anything.

Republicans better something over the next 2 years or they'll be setting up Hillary nicely for 2016. God help us.

Today, and every day after election day, is just about my favorite day of the year. It is the day the endless political ads end and I can watch my Geico commercials again.

I don't think Hillary would be all that bad. Better than Obama. Although I would like to see a moderate, fiscal conservative Republican take office personally

No one wants to look at her tired old puss in the news every day. I've said all along that I'm not sure that she's even running. But if she does, I hope Biden goes out swinging and splits the party in half. I mean, he's an asshole and all. But he's a sitting two term VP. Why the Hell should he step aside for her? Because she's a Clinton? rolleyes

I am SO freaking tired of these so called "political dynasties." The Bushes, the Cintons, et al. Their sense of entitlement makes me physically sick. I want to wretch when I see them on television.

Two years from now, if I'm wrong I'm wrong. But I still say she's un-electable. Hopefully it won't even come down to the election.

well, iv'e done the math. out of the last 26 years, 20 years have been a bush or a Clinton in the white house. now, if Hillary or another bush were to win in 2016,

and were to get re-elected. that would be 28 years out of 36
that there would be a Clinton or bush in the white house.

that does seem a bit much. who can save us?

Add the 8 years with Bush SR as VP and it already has been 28 of the last 34, also Hilarys 5 or however many years as SOS.

My point exactly, buddy. It's tiresome.

Presidents should be restricted to one term. They can extend the single term to five or six years if they want, as opposed to the current four. But is has to be one term and out. And then their spouses, children and siblings should be prohibited from running in the future.

It'll never happen, but I can dream. Right?

I noticed something about Hilary. If she lays on her stomach you could actually fuck the flab on her back. I am sure that is Bills prefered way of screwing her.

Oh their is no difference between Hilary and Obama politically.

If you were the secretary of state and know one of your Ambassadors was in trouble and he was also a personal friend. Would you just leave it to someone else to try and help him.

Or would you use all your power plus call the President and make sure something was done to get him out of there?

Did either one of the gutless bozo's try to save that guy?

Who would want to serve under either one of those gutless people. I spit on both of them.

You're forgetting George 1 was VP and the real power behind Reagan. And before that he was head of CIA.

But given your age you already know this.

what did you think of Bloomberg creating another term for himself? Curious your thoughts. I'm not from New York but as you know I wish I was so I get the daily news to my house.
Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.

lol lol

I voted for him the first two terms, and would have probably voted for him in the third as the "lesser of two evils." But I couldn't get past the term limits thing. Typical rich guy thinking the rules don't apply to him, so he can change them as he sees fit. And then change them back when he gets his way!! rolleyes

In short, I HATE him for that.
