Most mobsters don't have facial hair. http://www.ibtimes.com/what-goodfellas-got-wrong-705683"Moreover, DeSimone was tall, broad-shouldered and (unusually for a mobster) wore a moustache and long hair (the polar opposite of Joe Pesci)." Who else, apart from DeSimone had facial hair while in the mob? Stanfa did at some point. Persico did at some point. Little Allie Boy did at some point. Amuso & Casso did, but they were in disguise and on the run. Natale has/had facial hair but this may have been after he was in the mob.
I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

Scarpa just didn't give a crap... imagine going and telling him to shave off the mustache.
-I shot him a coupla' times. -What's a couple? -Hmm, more than a couple... Really I don't know the exact amount, maybe I shot him 10 times, 12 times? -Maybe fifteen? -Hmm, it could've been fifteen...

Also, Lin Devecchio.. does he count? He certainly wasn't no agent so I guess he counts as a mobster.

The facial hair thing is the biggest myth out there (next to every made guy being a killer). Farby and Prisco both wore mustaches at one time or another, so did TJ up in Mount Vernon. And even Gigante would go weeks without shaving (but I admit that he was a special case because it was part of his act). There are others, but this is another one of those threads that we've had here before (although this might be the first such thread that wasn't started by Botz ). I think Italian men in general just don't go in for the facial hair. It's not mutally exclusive to the Mafia.

I remember reading something that the romans had policies or practices of not wearing facial hair. (I can't remember where or when I read it.) Maybe it's a pretty old attitude...
