There's a British film from the early 70s starring Richard Burton called villain which is good although a bit dated compared todays gore fest type films. It was said Burton based his character on Ronnie Kray
Witness to the mob is not bad and Gotti was good, Armand Asante nailed it...
British is best....

Murder inc with Peter falk is ok. It'd be pretty cool to see a remake. That was a freaking good movie. I knew someone who worked for them. His day job he used his truck to move furniture. He also used his truck to remove the bodies they killed. He was a good guy he would also use his truck to take us to jones beach for the day.

I really have a hard time understanding how exactly Cop Land is a mob movie. Other than what the papers say, what is revealed near the end, it seems mostly to deal with that group of dirty cops.
Anywho, I think an underrated but good Mob film, is To Kill The Irishmen. It's a pretty straight forward film and low budget, but for what it is, I think it's worth it.
If we're talking comedies, as mentioned Analyze This & That are great films too. I couldn't stop laughing watching Analyze This the other day, I prefer the first film, to the second though. And Mickey Blue Eyes, is another too. Also the film with Steve Martin, that they say is loosely based on Henry Hill's life in the witness protection program.
Also, The Untouchables, not the shitty movie with Kevin Costner, but the television series from '59-60's is a great program too for mob buffs.

Thanks Sinatra
And I guess I do agree with you Cop Land isn't really a mob movie.
But they were corrupt cops which could of been classified as organized crime in a way.
I bet they could have taken a RICO indictment and they mention the mob lol ....
Either way I thought it was a good movie and I want to take a trip on that road along the water and bridge... I am 20 min away..... North Jersey

Thanks guys I have seen and enjoyed a Bronx tale, both Carlitos ways (Pacino and new one), French connection, true romance, snatch, French connection and public enemy.
I think I am going to try one of the following and I was hoping I could get some input :
The pope of Greenwich village The firm Gotti Witness the mob Wise guys Murder inc
Thanks guys!! Witness to the mob is one of my favorite mob movies. It seems very well put together with a good cast.

" A Deadly Business"....It's a movie about Harold Kauffman, a mob associate turned CI in the garbage industry. It also touches on a NYC garbage hauler named Charles Macaluso, who operated a company out of the Middlesex County NJ area. It's a decent flick...A young Armand Assante is in the movie. The script by Al Ramrus is based on the true story of Harold Kaufman, portrayed by Alan Arkin as a little guy with a conscience, especially after he participates in a Passover seder with the family of his new female friend. Just for sympathetic-image insurance, the woman, named Ann Behrens, is played by Michael Learned, long the indomitable mother of ''The Waltons.'' On the Mafia side, the familiar types range from the impeccably tailored businessman Charles Macaluso, done to a silky villainous turn by Armand Assante, to the fat, jolly killer named Vitola, realized with perfect obnoxiousness by Jon Polito.Full story: http://www.nytimes.com/1986/03/04/arts/tv-reviews-a-deadly-business-on-cbs.htmlYoutube...20 min clip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpdvfOeZuSs
