And Nino wasn't too far behind these guys Alfa. Nino was scary too....when he took off his glasses. There's a picture of him out there with his glasses off and he's looking right into the camera. Interested parties should check it out. Thing was Nino wasn't a druggie, nor did he appear deranged or mentally ill. He wasn't scary because he was crazy. He was scary because he was sane. At least that's how I picture the guy. This was a Capo who would summon you, and you'd probably have to meet him at night somewhere....and he is wearing glasses at night acting calm. Too calm. I really think he might have caused his own eye condition of light sensitivity. And I suspect he might have worn his glasses as a strategic move to always maintain a poker face. Someone that you couldn't read. He had a horrifying look to his eyes, but if you can't see them, you can't tell he might be planning to hit you.

Nino was old-school Cosa Nostra, his cousin was Frank Scalice, the underboss of Anastasia. This guy was pretty much Nino's idol and the one he modeled himself after.. he'd tell Dominick "There was no finer man than Frank, they don't make them like him anymore"
He doesn't particularly give the killer vibe, but then again neither does Roy. The twins have this sinister look on them, but more than anything they look like the typical young, low-level wannabees. Chris does look a little crazy though, I agree.
-I shot him a coupla' times. -What's a couple? -Hmm, more than a couple... Really I don't know the exact amount, maybe I shot him 10 times, 12 times? -Maybe fifteen? -Hmm, it could've been fifteen...

@Dwalin, to me Mad Sam did look like a deranged criminally insane killer, but not evil in a spooky way. Nothing mystical about him.
Wasn't he a devil worshipper? More mystical than that... I didn't know that. Does it surprise me? Nope.

That of course wasn't the picture I was referring to. This photo was one of his mugshots. The frontal view was alarming. At least to me. Hello, Alfa...Is this one of the pictures you were referring to? BTW, You are one very "Unique" individual, i gotta say. LOL You're "All Aces" in my book. I just have to ask you one question, tho..."How many hours can you stare at a pic of Lucania/Luciano for?" ...Was he shakin' Frankie....

That mugshot was taken in the early hours of the morning. Nino was rousted out of bed and was still half asleep. He wore sunglasses because his eyes were very sensitive to light. He also had myopia. He couldn't join the army because of it. He refrained from wearing glasses for cosmetic reasons. He did wear them for his trial in the 80's because it made him look less shady. His son grew up to be an ophthalmologist.
I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

I can see that saying I stared at the pic of faux Maranzano was a big mistake. No, that's not the photo. Maybe it's a photo we've all seen before and I was just "staring" at it too long. If I find the photo, the one I remember, I'll post it. Looking at Gaggi's photos, I noticed that the authorities made him take two sets of mug shots on the same day. One set with the glasses on, and one set with the glasses off.

@Binnie, agreed. The twins should probably never get out. You can't even make the argument that they "only kill each other", meaning other mobsters. They whacked civilians left and right. Danger to the public. Bigtime.
yes, killers like them have no business on the streets, I have no doubt they would murder again. I have no doubt either Bin.

Think the twins got about 15 years to wrap up. They should just tell the public why the put the chandelier on demeo in the trunk. This movie brothers Grimm is dumb Its a sign of remorse. If you have ever read any of John Douglas' books, or even "whoever fights monsters" by Ressler, they go pretty deep into. When a serial killer or murderer in general covers up a body with an object like that, its typically a Sign of remorse. It would make sense in this case too. They had to kill him, not only to move up in chosen profession, but also to not be killed themselves. But this is the guy who showed them around, they went to his place for barbecues and camping. I imagine theyhad a pretty close relationship with the guy. But you have to do what you have to do.
