just shows you how out of touch the republican party is, if they take trump seriously, they stand a good chance to put that devil Hillary Clinton in the oval office. But is it about the man, or the mission? Do we hire someone because we like them, because they don't curse when they speak, and have good manners...or do we hire someone for a job because they can get it done? There is in fact an exigent circumstance facing the United States right now, and Trump is only one of 2 or 3 candidates willing to get tough with it. That issue is immigration.

Trumps detail must have been on high alert down near the boarder today.
El Chopo coulda got him.
No sir. The biggest mistake ilegal aliens could ever make would be to harm Trump. And Trump making a tour of the border states is a huge power move. People down there are fed up with immigration enforcement. Now close your eyes and imagine Trump with the Republican nomination touring all the states on the Southern border. He is very much a contender.

Bush only messed up Bush. That's a hurdle for Jeb Bush, but not the other candidates. The current crop of candidates are all top people...former governors, senators, a brain surgeon, a billionaire real estate developer, and the former CEO of HP. Rand Paul isn't just a senator, he's also an eye surgeon. Several are former prosecutors. Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz (who was one the lawyers on O.J.'s defense team back in the 1990s) said that Ted Cruz was his best student and a top debater. Some of the former governors were re-elected in majority Democrat states, something that takes real skill and bipartisanship.
And they don't represent the 1950s, but they do have stronger religious beliefs than Democrats. Atheists tend to lean Democrat and conservative Christians and Jews lean Republican. So that's good or bad depending on your values. If you like socialism, abortion, poor race relations, and consider international terrorism relatively unimportant, then you'll probably vote Democrat. If you like the free market, are pro-life, want better race relations, and think terrorism is important, then you'll probably vote Republican.

since when do republicans want better race relations? is that a joke?
religion should not be a part of who runs the country
the republicans having 16 candidates shows how disfunctional of a party they are Again cook you are completely misguided on everything. Republicans don't want a theocracy, they want to protect the right to exercise religious beliefs. They also recognize the importance of religion in our culture. The majority being Christianity but other faiths as well. Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikh, etc. Democrats have fooled your respective ethnic group into believing every Republican is an old white male intent on suppressing you. If you want to see who your oppressors truly are just look at the party 80-90% of blacks vote for every election.

The first debate did not go well for race relations. They asked that question only to one candidate, who only vaguely answered it under 29 seconds, before they went to commercial and that was for Straight Out Of Compton which lasted under a minute. Funny ass shit huh. That's hilarious The GOP's biggest mistake was allowing itself itself to be taken over by religious extremists. The GOP once prided itself on being the big-tent party. Those days are long gone. The GOP initially took the positions it did on social issues in order to fish for votes, and then found it couldn’t go back. Its like the old fable of the scorpion and the frog. There used to be moderate Republicans, and even pro-choice Republicans, but they have become completely marginalized within their own party. I respect everyone's faith, and ask that they do the same of mine. But when people seek to impose their faith they impinge on my rights. And I take issue with that. Freedom of religion means freedom from religion. We all have the right to worship and believe as we wish, but religious freedom ends there. We must always keep the wall between church and state.

Whoever GOP elects to be their nominee, with the exception of Trump, it better be someone who's smart and portrays an air of confidence and is likable. That was Romney's problem in 2012, he could have won, but he wasn't a people's kind of guy. The Republicans need pragmatism, not ultra conservatism. most republicans need to realize that this ain't the 1950s and welcome themselves to 2016 shit it ain't even the current republicans fault.....BUSH RUINED THE GOP bush and the tea party ruined the republicans, bush was so bad, he got Obama elected. I saw in the paper today, that jeb bush said "we need more troops in Iraq" is he insane? doesn't he get it yet? people want out of the war.i think that statement could cost him his partys nomimation.

Does he have sons? If so he should send them first.

I saw in the paper today, that jeb bush said "we need more troops in Iraq" is he insane? doesn't he get it yet? people want out of the war.i think that statement could cost him his partys nomimation. A. The Republicans aren't ruined. The first Tea Party mass movement occurred the day after Rick Santelli on CNBC criticized an Obama recovery plan on February 19, 2009. Unless they had a time machine the Tea Party movement couldn't have affected the 2008 election. There were small Tea Party groups that were local, but there was no national movement until after Santelli spoke. B. Bush didn't get Obama elected. John McCain was a poor candidate and ran a bad campaign while Obama ran a much better campaign. C. If you have an issue with what Jeb Bush said, consider that Donald Trump said he'd send troops to Iraq and take their oil wells.

Actually, what hurt McCain was that he choose a nut job as his running mate. Palin set women back a hundred years. I'm not a fan of hers, but poll numbers from 2008 disprove that. She actually increased McCain's poll numbers, and that wasn't just with the MILF-lovers. She was stupid enough to be the governor of Alaska. Which game her far more experience that Obama had and he was running for president. You're right. Obama had zero executive experience when he ran for Prez and had not even had a full term as a senator.

She was picked to get the party's base excited, because up to that point they were as animated as a brick. Did she cost McCain votes? Maybe, maybe not. It's one of those tough things to argue whether a perceived "shitty" running mate actually costs votes. Consider this: Dan Quayle quickly was seen as a joke in 1988, getting creamed in his own V.P. debate by that certain moment that's one of the most replayed highlights in the history of televised American debates. That said, Bush Sr. still won that election in a landslide. Or 1952, Nixon was accused of doing illegal shit* and people (some within his own party) called for Ike to dump him. He gave the Checkers Speech, rallied his party's base to support him, and Eisenhower won in a landslide. *=The same sort of shit that the Democratic candidate for President that year, Adlai Stevenson, had done as well but without any public attention what so ever.

As for the other party, didn't I say Hillary could fuck up a cup of coffee? Now Sanders is leading her in one New Hampshire poll and VP Biden may run after all. I've known Ronnie for a very long time, and although he's floated a bit too far to the Left for my taste (he used to be much more of a Centrist, like myself), I can honestly say that he has no love for Hillary. She's done anyway. I told you guys eight years ago that she'll never see the Presidency. And she won't.
