In the late 80s early 90s the law enforcement heat that was on LCN was at it's climax. To fill the void, a bunch of Israeli immigrants started working together to form an organization that reached from 47th street to Brighton Beach to Arthur Avenue incorporating the entire 5 boroughs and eventually built up such a profitable organization they began working with the Italians sharing rackets such as the Gasoline scam, one of the most profitable rackets in history. This is a wonderful documentary about the Israeli Mafia in New York.
