I think he's still alive for the simple fact his children are there in NYC and his son was arrested on drug related crime. Coincidence ? I think not!

As far as being killed by the Italians , how on earth would they know where he fled when the Feds don't know? Especially if Matthews was willing to have them kill if they interfered in his racket.

What reasons would the Italians have to kill him? They never crossed lines, Matthews didn't owe them anything. They weren't his suppliers and I don't believe he ever sold to them or through them. The only theory out there is Big Paul and others being upset that Matthews had the funds and ability to live in the same upscale, exclusive community as he did. He and Big Paul were practically neighbors, and supposedly Big Paul didn't like the fact that a black man lived in the neighborhood. Thats literally the only theory of the mob whacking him out. And I don't think Big Paul was that stupid or petty to kill over that.

It was the Purdue chicken man. And that's a rumor, it was never proven. And there's no real evidence for it. The man was Vito Borelli, he was also the boyfriend of Big Paul's daughter, and other sources have said that he used to beat Pauls daughter and openly cheated on her. I'm willing to bet THATS why Borelli was killed. I don't think he'd kill over an insult like that. Strangely enough, Castellano was in business with the Purdue guy, and allowed his products to be sold in Western Beef supermarkets. Thats probably where that rumor stems from.

That's possible but I think we would of heard something if he have died by overdose or natural. Think about it this way, if he's died then what is their to hide about ? Dead man can't talk nor do prison time. Recall that Ike Atkinson past away earlier this year and he was active during or around the same time as Frank Matthews.
