Merlino is the real deal and anyone that is old school Philly will confirm that. He took on a Sicilian mobster and won back South Philly. The problem is nobody from the younger crowd to step up and be the next Skinny so the cameras can follow him around and take the heat off of Skinny like he did for alot of old timers. Need a young guy with balls to step up now like he did. Someone not scared to go to jail like him. Skinny is veteran now and deserves respect.Old timers made a killing while Joey was boss because he took the heat off them now someone needs to take heat off him. I dont know younger crowd does anyone on here know if there is any up and comers that are as serious as he was? Who is the next Skinny I am to old to know that crowd but would like to here input on subject.

Wouldnt surprise me if they made a guy or two this summer. Unless somebody flips we wont know for a couple years though.

I remember having this conversation in another thread. Grande was very likely one of the guys Ligambi was talking about. It was a couple years after the last ceremony that Grande was made.

There is a rumor that a Narducci was recently inducted into the family, I think Windows son, but Phil has a lot of money on the street and has a loyal following behind him. The last I have heard on Phil, is he would like to take a bat to Joey, not sure if it is Joey Merlino or not, but I don't think Phil would bother with Merlino, as he views him somewhat as a punk.

I know there is another Frank Narducci that is Phils Nephew but wasnt sure if it was Windows kid or not. He is young like 30-35 but i never would of thought he was involved with that life.. I posted a picture of him with phil like 2 months ago. Also Phil and Franks sister has 2 kids the Baldinos that were involved with the Borgata Bust in AC.. Theyve been involved with mob gambling before so maybe one of them were inducted?

Yes- the young Frank Narducci pictured above with Phil is Frank Narducci Jr's son. He's in his early thirties and owns a barbershop down in S. philly with Virgil Marriutti's son (friend of Salvy Testa, namesake of Phil Testa's bar Headquarters in Old City). I've always wondered if young Frank Narducci was involved or not, I don't know much about him or what his deal is outside of who he hangs with (lots of connected people and associates) and the barbershop. If what you heard about a Narducci getting made is true then it would have to be him because Phil doesn't have kids and Windows only has one son. And in which case if this is right then I am interested in hearing more. Where did you hear this? Is this legit @Giacomo? Handsome Stevie is correct about the Baldino's as well- Frank and Joe - they're Phil and Frank Jr's nephews (their sister Susan's sons) who are involved as mentioned above. They definitely could have been made as well possibly and it most likely would have been Joe (he's older) unless what you heard @Giacomo was that someone with the actual name "Narducci" got made recently. Definitely interested on some more details around this if you or anyone else can provide or elaborate on this. I heard an unconfirmed rumor that one of the Baldino nephews (Joe or Frank) got into a physical altercation with his uncle Phil at a gym and had some sort of falling out and Phil might have moved his operation out of Encore on Front & Chestnut, which the Baldino's own. Would love to know where Phil and Frank Narducci are hanging now and where they setup and operate out of now as well currently if that's actually how everything went down. Also, random side note, but did you all know that Joey Merlino actually has a third daughter (not just two from his current wife Debbie)?

How can any of those guys be made when Narducci hates the very person (Merlino) who has sole authority on who gets made? Are you suggesting the Scarfo faction is going rogue?

It's pretty common knowledge, at least locally, that Phil Narducci is not on great terms with the current leadership. Years back a Friend of mine worked on a job with yyoung Frankie on a job when he was an apprentice ion local 98. Said he was a very nice guy. Very respectful. But, he didint like the type of work and left.

It's possible he could be involved. Or, he just likes spending time with his father and his uncle, since they were locked up for most of the kids life.

From what's going around, it would be somewhat of a stretch that anyone is helping Phils cause. But, I dunno. They haven't called the hotline with the update
