What jobs or income streams did some of the better known Made guys claim to have to show where there money comes from?

Did/do any lcn guys actually hold done 9-5 jobs? Not including the " I'm a union guy" or restaraunt owners.

I think J.Gotti was a plumbing salesmen or something like that.

What about Chin, Amuso, Casso, De Neo etc?.

Gotti was in with some plumber brothers who I read are high up in the family today. He was on the payroll for a long time. One of the Gemini twins had a no show union job into the 90tys think his tax returns got him caught up.

Gambino was a "labor consultant." Costello admitted to being a gambler. Castellano had wholesale meat and poultry; Gravano was a drywall contractor--both were legitimate businesses. Bonanno claimed to have a cheese manufacturing business in Wisconsin. Gigante was a professional psycho.

My favorite was Joe Colombo, "real estate salesman." New York Times interviewed his "employer," Joseph Cantalupo (himself a Mob guy), who said: "Mr. Columbo has the sincerest group of customers. No one ever tries to cheat him out of a commission."

Joe Cerrito, Emanuel Figlia and Vincenzo Figlia were known as Car Salesmen. Salvatore and Angelo Marino were owners of a cheese factory. Mario Ballistre, Frank Lanza, and Joe Morceri were known as Fishermen. Jimmy Lanza and Tony Romano were known as union consultants. Anthony Lima and John Pacenti were known as Farmers. Frank Constanza and Stefano Giulio were known as dock workers. Frank Garfalo and Salvatore Profaci were Box plant owners.

Agreed.

How does he justify driving around in cars that cost what houses do as a restaurant host not even an owner, not even full time

Stan Stein to the rescue! lol

I find it amusing that in smaller families outside of NY it seems like alot of guys are almost making more off their legitimate businesses then they do off the rackets. I can understand it's "easy extra money" but I thought the whole purpose of being part of the mafia was to not hold a regular job?

Antonino (Tony the Exterminator) Ruggirello, Jr he is 79. He is still alive a capo apparently till recently he is now retired. He had co-ownership of a pest extermination company (Atlas Pest Exterminators) with Tony Giacalone in the 1970s and 80s.

yes he was a real hitter in his younger days deeply feared
