Jr. has become a successful developer. Rumor has is some of the old timers still stop by his house around the holidays with an envelope as tribute and respect for his Old Man. He has to have millions in cash, gold and other valuable when he got out around 2000... Heck his Dad had one of the greatest runs in LCN history, 20 years at the top, not an attempt on his life, owned race tracks, casino's, fixed races and sports and controlled every thug, hood, drug dealer, bookie and shy in 4 or 5 states. There was a story a few years back 2010 maybe IDK as someone was moving into his Dad's old office--Coin-o-Matic-- maybe it was a sub shop or something?? and JR was spotted stopping by and taking a look around. The office was said to have been virtually "un-touched" since 1984 when Sr died. Here's one of my favorite Old Man stories, what did he net out of this? Came home, thought everyone maybe push enough up to the top while he was away and took what was his. http://wpri.com/2010/11/11/secrets-bonded-vault-heist-revealed/

I know he's retired from the mob since the 1990s, but what is he up to these days? He's supposedly been out since 1998, most thought he was not up to the task of running the family, but he was smart enough to get out with millions in the bank.

Patriarca Sr had been working for the New England/Boston family since the 30's, when he was a hitman for Phil Bruccola. He grew in influence after Bruccolas retirement. Joe Lombardo takes over but also fades into the background, in which by the late 40's, beginning of the 50's, Patriarca is said to have been running things for the family in Providence, RI. By the 50's he's identified as the #1 man in the Boston Mob, with Jerry Anguilo being the #2, followed by Henry Tameleo. At what point would Patriarca had been made into a NY family and then transferred to New England?
AmericanMafia says he was a member of the NY mafia during the years of prohibition but that he was still based out of Providence. That makes things a little bit clearer I guess, as the Mafia wasnt as fleshed out during the Prohibition years and a lot of families around the country had yet to be established as actual families. He may have worked for and was later made by one of the big bosses from NY , before the days of Luciano & The Commission. And then when Luciano came into power and established the Five Families, perhaps Providence later on became merged with another family , forming the Boston/New England Mafia. Idk, thats just a theory, this has gotten confusing.
