Emergency rooms in the Northeast were "slow" yesterday, thanks to the blizzard. While watching the news last night, I was listening to a nurse say that "It's pretty quiet right now, but tomorrow, when people start shoveling, we'll get the people in here with chest pain."
Oh man. Chest pain? What a terrible prognostication! But more importantly, isn't it just INSANE that people were sitting on their couches last night, cuddled up with their wives, husbands and children, all comfortable and warm, and today, after heaving a few scoops of snow, THEY'RE GONNA DIE?
What the nurse illustrated last night was the ubiquitous cardiovascular timebomb. What a phenomenon! Shit, man, all you have to do is just sit there, and you won't have a heart attack. But if you start to move, WHAMMO! Massive infarction and certain death.
And there isn't a goddamn thing you can do about it. Your heart is a little bomb. BOOM!
