Outside of AC and Vegas, is it right you can't legally sports bet? Why is this? Iv'e lived in the UK, Australia and New Zealand where every town has a couple of bookmakers, (legal) why not America? Also is there a chance it could become legal?

Casino gambling is legal(mostlyon Indian territory) in, I believe, a majority of states in the US. Off-track betting also is legal in a majority of states. And, most states have government-run lotteries.
