In The Bushes In Your Front Ya...
4/8

I read that Bon Jovi was recently the highest-grossing concert act. Almost $1 million per show.

Can someone tell me what the problem is? Why are people going to Bon Jovi concerts?

Awww, forget it...just a pertinent extension of the mullet-music motif we've been tossing around.

List of what? The concert venues? The "set list" (which is undoubtedly virtually the same very night)?

No. I need nothing, dear Beth. Just an axe.

I like Bon Jovi, even tho I can't say I have heard anything recently from him. I loved the "Slippery When Wet" CD. His voice is only average but Minnow is right as far as the chicks go, he is definitely a gorgeous guy and very appealing to the female crowd. smile I'm sure the ladies know exactly what I mean. Some guys have it and some don't....he does!!! grin

Personally, I think Jon Bon Jovi is gay (not that there's anything wrong with that)

Yea, Bon Jovi is a very good looking guy.

But I rather have Dave Davies, Mark Knopfler, even Pete Townsend, particularly in their hayday. They seem like more interesting characters. I get bored with pretty boys.

I do get your drift SB! The "pretty" look can be quite appealing, and I do think BJ is very good looking, but I like a variety of types, my favorite would be the "not so perfectly clean cut, nor fresh faced man" (not that there's anything wrong with that!! lol ) Don't mind a little ruggedness and imperfect features on certain men. It can be attractive. smile Here I go, talking too much again. ohwell

Well that is a relief to hear since I was not graced with any 'pretty boy' features or looks. rolleyes

I thought of this after Poke's post though because when is the last time JBJ actually had a big hit, yet he racks in big concert numbers. Gotta be cause of the ladies.

Although I will admit in my car now, I actually have in my CD change his CrossRoad album (kind of a greatest hits CD). And the three songs I find myself listening too most are the ones that I don't even remember when they were released 'back in the day'. Probably because of a drunken or drug induced state of my youth - ha.

Not a bad band though, overall.

I like listening to Bon Jovi ok. Their music takes me back to another time in life. Although no disrespect to my friend BethE, I would rather romp with Richie Sambora than JBJ - but it is always good for girlfriends to have different tastes in men (save for Bill Hemmer on CNN - a YUMMY reason to watch the news nowadays). I'll wrestle you Beth for that one.

Bon Jovi good - but not enough "soul flava" for me. Therefore, I would probably not spend money to see them.

Yes I forgot to mention BDD being a bit hard on himself. Pretty? no. Handsome? yes.

But BDD it is your personality that hooks us so when you show that hump and third eye , we will still love you.

Red. Definitely red jello.

I'm not sure what "thumps" about Bon Jovi music, and the lyrics and banal melodies are not good enough to be bombastic...at least not rightfully so.

But Bono is, indeed, a very large idiot.
