something I never quite understood about the mafia

to be a made man...did someone have to be full sicilian...or was it just full italian, i never fully understood?

For the american mafia until the 80s you must be full blooded italian ie all your parent must be italians; with the end of the italian enclaves the rules was changed but when Massino flips said that in the last commission meeting in 2000 was re introduced the full blooded rule.
Anyway if you're a good earner can easly made even only your father was italian.
