Nice breakdown and timeline of events. Truly a crazy time in that city. It would be the equivalent of a new trendy area coming up in your city, attracting nightlife and an arts scene, getting totally demolished by a mob war with bombs and all.

The KC mafia in their day were quite the force to be reckoned with. Interests and ownership in Vegas casinos, ties with chicago, and a grip on Kansas City was like none other. The STL mafia didn't compare to what was happening in the other side of Missouri. Nick Civella was well respected amongst many families in the country.
