56k+ deaths related to heroine overdoses. They want to make narcan over the counter because of these idiots. Let them die. If you're stupid enough to put that junk in your veins, suffer the consequences. Just my .02. In the icu, we push fentanyl or run drips. Example of when we push fentanyl: a person's heart rate is out of control and all pharmacological options have failed, we push versed (which knocks you out and causes temporary amnesia) then we push some fentanyl, and then you get shocked to reset your ticker. The fentanyl is given because of the pain that the cardioversion causes. do you realize that 56,000 deaths. is as many young people as were killed during the viet nam war. is this a war?

Many want to quit but physically their body won't let them . Some people are just stronger I suppose and unfortunately many get hooked due to the pharma / Doctor sales culture we have and well some are just young and dumb and some deserve hard consequences , especially those that knowingly hook others, but just let them All die , you got to be one heartless person to say that . That's just not me but everyone is entitled to their opinion It's true that addictions start with a bad decision. But once that mistake is made, it's hard for a lot of people to get out of it. It's true that some of those people will overdose again and again, but if even just some of them survive to clean up and become productive citizens again, I think it's worth it.

Steer clear of fentanyl. My best friend in Detroit died from it (sold to him as heroin) and he isn't the only person in Detroit I know who died because of it. (Nobody asked to score or buy fentanyl - they wanted heroin - but got fentanyl instead.)
I can't comment on other cities - I wouldn't know. It varies from place to place. Speed is popular in LA, but nowhere to be found in Detroit.
The high from fentanyl is said to be similar to heroin, but much more risky in terms of an overdose. Sad shit. Stick to beer and whisky.
