Skinny Joey...I'm interested to see if he takes a plea in his old age. I hope not.

Skinny Joey always goes to trial. I admire him. Spent half his life in prison and will never plead guilty. Lol

Lol I remember George A talking about an early prison stint he did over an armored truck job. Said the guys rolled on him because he kept all the money. Said he'd rather do a few years and keep all the money. This situation is similar in that the alleged hang-up in the plea is forfeiting a cpl hundred K. He'd rather roll the dice than pay the Feds. If that's the case, that's hilarious.

Thanks for the news DanteMoltisanti. Amazed that in this day and age, a mobster has a crowd of supporters in court, including a priest. Even when he's pleading to ordering someone strangled. In all fairness the guy he ordered strangled was a deadbeat. Even god needs his money on time! Also pretty sure priests fuck little kids so supporting a mobster isnt that amazimg! Good point

I can't believe these idiots still exist 40 years after Colombo and 25 years after Gotti. Parello pleading out - stone gangster.
I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

I read the feds will not use the turncoat who made the tapes and started this whole bust when he was busted selling pills. So if they cant put him on the stand they cant use the tapes he recorded of merlino so the charges will most likely be nol procesed or dismised. Whered you read that? I dont think its just that guy that got Merlino indicted, the feds actually carried out an broad investigation on Merlino and the others, Rubeo was only part of it. And its not that the tapes arent usuable, its the Texts messages , some of which were reportedly missing, and the blame was on the FBI in that situation supposedly over their handling of Rubeo. From the sounds of it, it seems like he deleted over 40 or so text messages which were meant to be used as evidence against Merlino and the others, and thats why so many of them took pleas. The plea deals could also mean that the guys just werent willing to go to trial, due to the evidence that may still be presented. In Merlinos case, the fact that hes fighting it, evidence may and can still be introduced into the trial, not necessarily Rubeo testifying, but tapes that were made with Merlino possibly discussing crimes. Remember Rubeo also introduced an actual agent into the mix whom also may have recorded evidence against the bunch and I havent seen anything which implies the agent being unable to introduce his evidence or testify.

Patsys crew is huge, hes doin 5 yrs. who do we think is taking over day to day? I can't help but think about Tony Soprano when I was reading the article posted above Patsy Parello saving the pregnant cat. Reminded me of Tony and his soft spot for animals and his obsession with the ducks and other animals (i.e. When he was more concerned about Adrianna's puppy dying than Christopher potentially dying to his drug addiction). It seemed like Tony was always more sympathetic and loving to animals and animal life versus human life. Anyways, just a random thought I had when I read that about Patsy...

I don't know. I guess with the priest, it might be because part of their job is meting out forgiveness to the members of the church. Maybe he considers the guilty plea penance for crimes/sins committed. That is excellent, but the trouble with professional criminals is that usually they get back into their old ways even if they try to change.
