The actor, Jerry Orbach, supposedly saw who done it but refused to tell police out of some misguided loyalty to mobbed up friends.
I can't understand how he didn't get arrested for withholding testimony. First, I think you're thinking of when Joe Gallo got killed. Second, he wasn't arrested because "withholding testimony" isn't a crime.. Perjury is a crime, but you'd have to be on the stand first.

Imagine if people in the 70's were like "Marlon Brando as an elderly mobster? Nah. lol" Brando was 48 when he played Vito Corleone. Here he is before and after makeup on the Godfather set.

The writer of the article should do better research. He claims Russell Bufalino and Bill Bufalino were brothers, when if fact they weren't even related. According to Sheeran Russell did allow Bill to say he was his nephew, because that would give him more clout when dealing wiseguys supposedly.. They were related could be his cousin, Russell did have many brothers.

I read the book and many articles and all stated that Bill was not related to Russell, but it wouldn't be the first time an error gets continuously repeated..

lol. Solid click bait, there.
They're giving a way a ton of spoilers with these on-set pics. Wonder why they're allowing all of the photographers. I know it's based on a true story anyway, but still. I'm to the point to where I'm going to stop clicking these links.
If you have read the book "I heard you paint houses" you can get a good idea of what they are doing. Photos don't necessarily tell the story I was going to read the book until I found out Scorsese was doing the movie. I'm not reading a book that a Scorsese movie is based on before seeing the movie.
